Re: Dance Floor
Lyra had been waiting for this day for the last few weeks. Ever since her conversation with Ash where they agreed to go, she had been focused on kind of being perfect for the night. Her father had agreed to let her order a few things to be delivered for her costume and the the dress was the highlight by far. The beads seemed to sparkle under the light with every movement that she made. While short, it was also mostly modest, well except for the plunging back that showed off her tattoo. Lyra figured that she already had wings so why not show them off? The teen topped off the look with her hair charmed and curled and her makeup done to sparkle. It was a uniquely beautiful mystical firebird that she was quite proud of.
Lyra smiled as people seemed to take notice of her as she walked through the crowd of dancing students. None of them were her focus though. No, tonight was all about finding her blonde vampire and seeing if she could enjoy this just as much as she had their first date. She knew that she shouldn't hope so, but she did. She liked Ash and already she could feel herself falling for him. It was a dangerous game to play since both of them knew that nothing more would ever come of this. He was promised to her best friend.
Pushing those dark thoughts behind her though, she walked through the crowds in hopes of finding Ash. They should have picked a place to meet up, she realized in hindsight. What if she never found him? That idea was enough to bring a small frown to her face.
