Confidence definitely applied to him... at least in regards to certain areas of his life. Thor's confidence came from his hard work and dedication, but most importantly from his patience and loyalty. All of that created confidence, at least in his opinion. Then again... what did he really know?
If he knew that he was somehow intimidating her, Thor would have done anything to stop that. He didn't intentionally try to intimidate anyone other than rival Quidditch players or someone being a jerk and needing to be put in his place. However, as she smiled up at him and tucked the hair behind her ear, he couldn't help but look at her lips and then watch her fingers trace forward along her jaw. Quickly bringing his eyes back to hers as she began speaking, he nodded.
Quirking his head to the side, Thor raised an eyebrow at her research. "There's a way to figure out how chance and luck work and interact? Doesn't that kind of contradict the theory behind chance and luck?" As Bailey talked about becoming a researcher, he had a hard time imagining her cooped up in some room, unseen and simply a number in a sea of faces.
"You really want to go into research? I can't imagine you cooped up somewhere where no one can see you..."
