Jackson had partially lied to get Adrian to come along with him today. He figured better to start with his own issues anyway, and Adrian would be support. It took some cajoling, but he convinced the other boy to head to the counselor with him. Adrian knew, after all, that Jackson had a lot of problems centered around his sister's death and so him going to talk to someone was a big step forward- and obviously he couldn't do it without his best friend.
He loosely held Adrian's hand as they walked- nothing overt really, just a small nod to the fact that they were together. Neither of them saw much reason to pretend, but neither did they think there was a need to advertise things. They were together and it was natural. In Jackson's mind it was also something that would be long-lasting. He loved Adrian and had for years even if he had not realized it fully until recently. He wasn't about to let go of what he had gained for anything.
A weak smile was offered as he walked in, his eyes moving around the room and avoiding Raava at first. He wanted to see what he was walking into, as he had never even considered something like this until recently.
