Hunter lingered by the door, making sure it closed properly before he turned to watch his sister sit on the sofa. It was nearly exactly like the one at home and Hunter wished that they could be there instead of here. Perhaps if they had just stayed at home, he never would have done what he did. Even with a nervous smile, Fawn looked like an angel. He knew she wouldn't lie what he had to say, or perhaps he secretly worried that she would be relieved. Neither was a welcome choice.
"I just wanted to tell you, in person..."
Hunter kept his distance, lingering a foot or so away from the sofa. He couldn't bear to sit next to her.
"I'm going to leave. I don't know where I'll go, not home... I'll find somewhere."
