It was all fun and banter for the most part, but Ash liked to think that cute animals weren't always going to win. There were just some things that animals couldn't offer. Unless Lyra was into that sort of thing.
His hand stopped moving in the caress on the back of her thigh and he chuckled, "A deal it is then. And I may need some, but are you offering to help apply it?" He wouldn't mind if she were, but he always knew that someone like Lyra could just be teasing him. Offering something and then turning it around on him. Predictable could be fun, but the unpredictable was equally entertaining when it wasn't excessive. That eventually got tiresome.
