"Quiet about it?" Ash raised an eyebrow in question, "I'm hurt. You act as if I go around stomping everywhere with an angry look on my face." He knew she didn't meant that though, and he could be quiet. Chances were the most noise he might make would be a yawn. He feigned offense at the comment about them meaning more, "Wow, Lyra, wow. And here I am, doing my best to protect you from the sun and I am playing second fiddle to a bunch of animals. What have they done for you lately?"
But the comment didn't surprise him in the least. Most people knew about Lyra's strong interest in magical creatures. Ash learned enough from textbooks and what the actual class taught him. Maybe actually seeing how Lyra went about hunting down these animals could be interesting. If it wasn't, he could probably fake it.
"So we have a deal," he said as confirmation and now his hand moved from behind her knee to slide along the back of her thigh slowly.
