Keara was actually surprised at Luke's comment. Most people overlooked that about her. People just thought that since they couldn't see the wounds, they weren't there. It was how people missed the bullying or the attacks. Keara never wanted to admit to them, so she hid things.
"You know, I'm not sure how much I like how astute you are." Keara teased. Though, when he mentioned seeing the real her, she frowned a little. She knew that he meant the wounds, that didn't stop her from closing her eye ad let her powers fade completely, leaving in her truly natural form.
There were several dark bruises on her face and arms. Her knuckles were also bruised. Beyond that though, there were other differences. The dark hair had faded to a light brown, blue eyes turned into a dark amber shade. Her nose turned up slightly. Little changes that she didn't even think about when she woke up. It actually took more of an effort to make them go away than it did for them to be there.
