"It is something I should be aware of though," Bailey argued gently. It was after all only polite. Startling someone, even unintentionally, was not proper behavior, and Bailey was taught the importance of that, especially to people who could be important.
She nodded when Peter said he hadn't seen Lia. "If she's not brewing for Lae then she is probably painting or drawing today instead." Her friend had really only two hobbies she indulged in, beyond just studying. Bailey wasn't making fun - she herself really only had one main hobby, arithmancy, and that was more of a study than it was anything else. "And really, I love Lia, but she isn't much of a conversationalist." Bailey smiled, teasing her friend even when she wasn't here.
"I understand why, but even so." It was interesting to hear Peter talk about his days as a student - it wasn't that long ago. "You make it sound like you have been out of school for decades."
