Giving him a deliberately appraising look(even going so far to lean forward and peer at him over the desk) she waved a hand in dismissal, "Meh, nothing I haven't seen before." Shrugging casually while giving him a challenging smile she reached for another pastry. This was a game she was comfortable with, though not one she had played much since starting employment here. He really wasn't bad looking, though nothing to write home about. Needing to do something more with her hands she reached up and undid her hair, letting it tumble down onto her shoulders so she could detangle it with her fingers.
"Muscle memory is needed, defending yourself in class is well and good when you are calm but muscle memory is needed in real situations," Her eyes darted around the office as her mind worked, "They are not afraid enough yet I think. Thats where the best skill comes from. Fear." That was how her father taught her to defend herself, magically, basic hand to hand and her day to day life as well. It was cruel to do it to children, but it worked. If the staff were honest, and realistic they would train those with muggle lineage first.
