The full moon would be rising soon. Russell imagined that seeing the supermoon with a full eclipse would be a spectacular sight if he weren't a werewolf. He made his way down to the dungeon cell that Emrys had helped arrange. It was reinforced by magic and he would not be able to escape it. The beast that inhabited him was not happy about it. It hated being caged like some zoo animal. Worse, like a criminal, when he had done nothing wrong. But it was absolutely necessary for the safety of the school and the people he loved.
Stripping off his clothes, he folded them neatly and along with his magic wand, put them in the locker nearby. He stepped inside the cell and closed the door. The clang of the lock sounded very final. As well as being magically reinforced, the cell was sound proofed. No one in the castle above would hear his howls. Russell got inside and got the collar around his neck as he felt the beginning of the change. Bones started to crack and rearrange beneath his skin. He couldn't help it, he cried out in pain and rage.
The pain seemed to go on forever as his body rearranged itself into it's other form. When it was done, the cell didn't contain his usual sleek, timber wolf form, but something far more monstrous. Far more terrifying. In this form, he was bipedal. It was a form stuck between wolf and man. His muscles rippled beneath the thick dark fur that covered his body. The worst part, was that the potion that he took didn't stop the change, it merely helped him retain his human mind while trapped in this horrible body. And there was nothing he could do to stop the change. At least it was only for one night. He raised his head and cried out to the moon.
