Wan would never claim to be the best at what he was doing. He wasn't one of those parkour enthusiasts that he saw running around the city for the hell of it. Some of them took chances even he would balk at. But he was good at this. He'd learned to be out of necessity. His lack of official, legal, criminal record was owed to his being able to get away from cops by running where they couldn't easily follow and being faster than they were when they tried to. After getting away, it was easy to blend back into the crowds.
In the city, he'd done it to survive. He'd enjoyed it, to a degree. The rush after he realized he'd lost his pursuit always had him laughing even if he hadn't started out in a good mood.
At school, though? He could do it for fun. He could feel his muscles burning, stretching, aching at being used properly for the first time in months. He needed this.
At the fourth floor ledge, he stopped, sat down, legs dangling off as he waved at Sadie to invite her up.
