"Good morning," Wan smiled and pushed off the wall. It was a gentle smile, small and soft. He could see the dark circles, the hollow look to how James carried himself. The man had suffered - still suffered - and the look felt familiar to Wan. Reminded him of Yao for some reason.
He set that aside and started outside, giving a quiet 'this way' as his only other words. James didn't look like he wanted conversation. He looked like he wanted some peace. Wan wasn't sure his hiding spot would be the best place for it, but it was outside, away from people. It was calm.
Mula padded after Wan and one they were on the grounds proper, she darted forward, ears twisting in different directions as she took in sounds only she could hear. Wan walked at an even pace, leading James toward the Forbidden Forest and then skirting along it's edge until they were well past the groundskeeper's hut and almost to the edge of the school's territory entirely. He remained silent. If James wanted to talk, Wan was going to let him start, not try to force it on him.
