Don't overthink it? That was like telling Brinley not to think. Did she want a date? Did she—oh, she was overthinking it. "I don't see why not. We had fun." And that sounded so much lamer but in the end it was what it was. A yes. Yes, Brinley wanted another date with Michael Meru. Saying it out loud was a little liberating but also a bit frightening.
"Does that mean I like him like him?" Because repeating a word or phrase changed it completely and somehow brought new meaning to it.
