Re: Steve and Bucky
Badgers and snakes didn't often find themselves friends and it had been a long time since Steve had been invited into the Slytherin dorms. Even when they were younger, the boys had spent more of their time sharing space in the Hufflepuff common room.At least this time there were plenty of other students from various Houses, although it made space a rare commodity. The sound of the other students travelled, but eventually the two boys, with Vincent in tow, found a secluded niche. Steve kept Vincent square in his lap, his fingers kneading over the chubby animal's back.
"I know ya," he admitted with a blush, looking down at Vincent, who seemed to give him a happy, if confused, look.
"I probably know you better than anyone in the whole world. We've been best friends since before I could tie my own shoes."
In fact, it had been Bucky who had taught him. Bucky had taught him a lot of things, over the years.
"You don't remember."
It was more of a statement than a question. No one had told Steve, but no one had to. Bucky, HIS Bucky, would have fallen into Steve's arms that first day, before cuffing him up the back of the head for not running away fast enough.
