Re: Steve and Bucky
He gave one last futile glance past Steve down the hallway, knowing the other was right. And he'd been meaning to talk to him, ever since the shoving incident in the hallway. Now probably wasn't the ideal time, with the panic and lack of privacy they'd find in the common room with all the students packed into it. He had far too many roommates to hope that the room would be empty, but maybe they could find some sort of secluded corner.
"Fine," he frowned, awkwardly patting the dog on the head and quickly drawing his hand back to his side, eyeing the animal warily. "I... fine. Right." James turned, heading toward the voices to where the Slytherin common room should be, not wanting to give away how lost he was in the castle. But they weren't too far and were rushed inside, James scoping out a spot for them to finally talk away from the scared students.
He dreaded this conversation, knowing there was a significance behind it that might be too much too soon. But the sooner it was over with, the sooner he could figure out what to do. "You know me," he stated the most obvious, hoping Steve would build from there because there really wasn't much on his end he could contribute.
