"Not bad, she says," Liam huffed, "You know, this might be the reason you're single and so incredibly not ready to mingle: you just destroy hearts."
Of course, Liam was joking; he wanted her to critique his work properly, so that he could get better, hunting that ever evasive 'perfect' song. He was, after all, his biggest critic so there was literally nothing she could possibly say that would make him feel bad about his music, that he hadn't already likely told himself.
As he continued to play, he looked back over towards her with a raised brow and grinned, "Haven't messed up yet, have I?"
