Re: Nari & Vi
Having Nari so close, knowing that she could protect her? That made Violet feel more at ease. It was that strange feeling of coming home to something. Violet never really had that before. Growing up home was such a bad place to be. Home was where there was pain and in school it wasn't any better. There'd been no shelter. No escape. Even when she went out, she couldn't really feel at peace. It was like so much of her life was wrapped around this idea of anxiety and knowing that if things were currently bad, they were just going to get worse.
Violet reached out to take Nari's hand into hers, their fingers entwining and she gave it a squeeze, "That's right, hun. We're going to be okay." Absently she placed a kiss on the other girl's head. It was something she often wished someone would do to her when she'd been scared. It never really came though, but she could give it to someone else.
And that was where the Hufflepuff in Violet came out. Because as abrasive and isolating as she could be, when she cared, she gave a damn.
