Hunter wasn't sure what he expected, but it certainly wasn't what he got. Holding Fawn, kissing her, was the closest thing to feeling whole that he had ever experienced. The lust that had filled him while they had watched their classmates rutting together was still there, but it was overwhelmed with something else. Something that he knew was even more dangerous than base physical urges. Taking one last taste of Fawn's lips, Hunter pulled away and looked into her eyes one more time.
"I'm sorry," he said, his voice eerily calm. Then he did the only thing he could, to keep them both safe; Hunter turned and ran down the alley, rounded the bend and didn't stop until his lungs were burining and his legs threatened to give out beneath him.
