Brin knew that gesture. It's what Meru would do when he was nervous. She didn't really see it in this context before, so she wasn't sure what to think. He was saying it looked great on her and maybe he was just being nice? Maybe she looked weird. Or maybe she did look good. Compliments on her appearance never really came her way. It was something that Brinley had accepted. They did come at times, but this just . . . felt different.
"Thanks," she said as she slipped the jacket back off, "But I think it's better suited for you. It actually fits you and you . . . wear it well." Why had she paused? Oh god, why had she paused? Oh right, she didn't want to say he looked kinda hot in it.
