"What if I get good OWL scores?" Wan was quick to answer. He knew a rejection when he heard it, but he hated to give up with out a fight. "The internship isn't until summer. You have the whole year to consider applicants and make a decision. You don't know what I can do yet."
He shrugged, hands going into his pockets as he rocked back on his heels, "I don't even know what I can do yet."
More than giving up without a fight, he hated feeling like he was being dismissed as not worth someone's effort or time. Recommendations only worked if he proved himself and if he proved himself, then why couldn't he at least be considered seriously for the internship?
"I know I have a lot to catch up on. And I am trying. I'm doing five years of school work this year, but I think I've been handling it well. My marks are decent so far."
