What: Gryffs talk.
Rating: Likely low?
Link was sitting in the common room because, for once, it was quiet enough to actually get some reading done, as well as some writing. It was the actual bedroom where everyone was being loudest at the moment, at least for him, and so the common room was becoming something of a necessity for him. Sitting on one of the large, thick, comfy chairs he was nestled over a table he'd pulled closer and had his scroll there as he wrote with his feathered-pen. His free hand was actually holding some pages open on a book of his, allowing his eyes to skim as he wrote.
Next to his chair was his shield, with sword set behind it. He rarely let them out of his sight, for fear of them getting taken, and so they came with him. Yes, it was the very thing that made him weird, but he also ignored the looks he got for the things. He loved them, and they gave him confidence even when his actual spell casting was leaving a bit to be desired.
Currently he was wearing a green shirt, pair of green and black cotton shorts, and socks. He was pretty comfortable, having decided he wasn't about to go patrolling the grounds tonight, he was dedicating everything to his studies as he wanted to make sure he got the high marks in his final year that would allow him to become, what he believed to be, an elite Hit-Wizard.
When he finished off a final sentence, he dropped his pen and leaned back to rub hands over his eyes and then blink the blurry focus out of them, and allow them to adjust to the room around him instead, there were a few others in the room, but they were all being quiet as well too, which he appreciated. Even the ones chatting were chatting relatively quietly. Usually he spent his time in the library, so it was unusual to look up and see people around him. It felt almost social for him, curious.
Mentally shrugging at his own thoughts, he just stretched and yawned while working feeling into his muscles again.
