Steve blushed. Sure he was used to people talking about his body, but it was usually in the 'what appears to be broken?' or 'your iron is low' sense. What he hadn't been used to was all the whispers and looks, mostly from the female population, but he'd seen a few male eyes glancing his way as well. Luckily, it seemed like Meru's interest was purely scientific.
"Water would be awesome, please," he replied, setting Vincent down on the floor by his feet. The dog's training would have him following wherever Steve went.
"So far they seem to be going alright. They had a tutor in twice a week while I was in hospital, so they kept me sort of up to date."
It was on the tip of his tongue to ask Meru about his own transformation, he was so anxious to know about it, but Steve also knew that he needed the time to ease into talking about it.
