Who: Derek, Isaac, and Lousie Baker (NPC) Where: Outside the Hogsmeade Floo station When: Sept. 9, 4:30pm Warning: TBD Status: Closed/In Progress
Apparently there was some kind of a magical train that students usually took to get to Hogwarts, but since school had already technically started, Isaac was being given the back roads tour and being floo'd in by his social worker. She was only slightly a bitch, so far as he could tell. At least she hadn't tried to talk to him like he was some sort of emotionally fragile infant, like the street workers back home did. He'd wanted to spit in their faces, every time they talked about 'vicarious trauma' and 'cycles of abuse'. All he wanted to do was get laid and get money, neither of which was their problem. This one (and he couldn't remember her name, it was likely something boring as fuck anyhow) had been more focused on just getting him where he had to go and getting the fuck home. He couldn't blame her. She looked tired as hell and her glasses kept slipping down the bridge of her nose.
"Mr. Hale is going to meet us outside the station and then take you up to the school," she said, once they'd both come through the Floo grate. She passed him the hideously bright green backpack that had his meagre possessions inside, seeming as glad to be free of it as she was of him. It had been a parting gift from Health and Human Services, meant to 'aid in his transition'. Isaac planned to burn it the moment he got to school.
"I'm sure you'll do fine, Issaiah. Just try to stay out of trouble."
She was already scanning the crowd, as they stepped out onto the street, looking for someone to take the boy off of her hands. Isaac didn't bother to correct her on his name. Most of them didn't even try and just called him "kid" or "champ". The papers he knew Hale needed to sign were clutched in her hand, already wrinkled and slightly sweaty. It was criminal just how little had to happen for him to be dropped in some poor asshole's lap.
"I think that's him," she said loudly, waving her hand in the air.
