Misha had insisted that his brother stay out of the lab on his birthday. He encouraged his brother to stay out of the lab every other day, but at least on his birthday Michael seemed to take his older brother's advice. To celebrate, Misha had procured as pricey a bottle of fire whiskey as his assistant teacher's salary could afford, and since he figured his brother would be a dork about it, two glasses to avoid drinking straight from the bottle.
"Knock, knock, brainiac," he said, rapping loudly at the door of the Head Boy's room. It felt totally strange to be knocking on the door that had been his only a few months before, but still not as weird as it had been to walk into his new teacher's quarters ont he first day.
