"I might be alright, huh? I guess I better cut my loses and go with it, then." He did enjoy the banter between them so much. It was easy and it flowed and it felt like their own little slice of normal. "Now, when it comes to screaming, however......" He trailed off, letting that one hang in the air.

I have to go out into the world and actually adult. I'm not sure I want to adult yet," he said with a laugh. In reality he was more than ready. He had wanted to go to work for the BMA in some capacity the entire time he'd been in school. As soon as he had learned of the government branch, he knew he belonged there. This last stretch of school and he was home free to snatch that dream.
"When Julian wants alone time he hangs a sock in the door. Tell them to just do that so that you can be there and know to avoid hem so they can have their alone time." Which Julian's alone time was probably quite different than her father and her adoptive mother. He smiled at her in hopes of keeping her spirits up.
If he were being honest, he enjoyed her having her head in his lap. It was comfortable. He shifted a little, making it more comfortable on the two of them. "Other than that, no not really. Trip took up most of the summer. How about you? What kind of mischief did you get into?"
