If he were being honest, the fact that he was caught so winded was a little bit of an embarrassment. While he tried his best to keep himself in shape, he wasn't particularly athletic. He worked out, sure, but running wasn't his thing. "Um hm," he breathed. "I guess the marshmallow treats I had for lunch weren't the best idea before running around the castle," he said with a laugh. He straightened up and beamed over at Marina. "Better."
He gestured over to the rollerskates. They weren't in the best condition, but they would get the job done. And they were clean. "I'm thinking we get our balance and our barrings and then we have a race. Winner gets choice of losers punishment. Sound good?" Gareth was good at skateboarding, and he could skate fairly well, but he was just out of practice. If he won he had no idea of what he would do for his prize but it seemed fitting.
