open to Ophelia
The Hogwarts feast. A more perfect of example of young gluttony could be found no where. The purpose of so much food was beyond Mikael. Surely there was no need for so much food. Of course, the amount of students was astronomical, however the amount of food was even more so. It was not uncommon to find plates filled with uneaten and barely tasted food. It was quite a show, one that Mikael was no inclined to indulge in. Especially considering the fact that several of his so called peers had food dribbling down their chin.
With a sigh he turned his attention back to his own table. At least there he could find a somewhat civilized conversation with someone who did not hire him to tears or make him want to hex them for their stupidity. Of course, that is not saying everyone in his House escaped his apathy, but some did.
Some like the person he was sitting next to. He smiled at Ophelia (a rare occurence) and asked, "How was your summer?"
