"Yeah but you're second best, and you're an actual artist person." She grinned, though when she looked up he had a weird look in his eyes. So she leaned up and kissed his nose. "Don't be sad, Stevie. Or, be sad, but be happy too. And tell me when you're sad so I can make you smile again."
She shook her head. "You can't help that you're boring. That's why you need me. I think we're going to do neon pink and gold sparkles first. That'll be pretty." She watched his hand for a moment, checking for a tremor, before grabbing it with a grin and pressing a kiss to the back of it. "This is going to be so weird to get used to. I mean, I can't even imagine what it was like for you."
