Re: Lyra/Ash
She knew that it probably wasn't fair to simply call Ash just a good friend. He was more than a friend, but less than a boyfriend. Honestly, Lyra had no idea just what he was or what he wanted to be. He did kiss and sleep with good friends like Serafina after all.
His mention of dinner surprised her though and she flushed slightly. Was he actually asking her out on a date? She knew he didn't like them because how fake people seemed, but he had also suggested their outings before could be considered dates, plus he now had kissed her, and she wanted the feel of his lips on her's again.
Had Poppy not have said something, she might have actually said yes, but there was the reminder that Ash was taken by none other than her best friend and people knew that. To be with him in public was to hurt and embarrass her best friend and that was the last thing she ever wanted.
"Sorry. Dinner might be out of the question, but I'm sure you'll find a way for the Blackstones to repay our debt to you." She said, trying to ignore the awkwardness that arose thanks to Poppy.
