You see, Gareth loved animals. Truly. However, Wan's cat was the size of an elephant. Okay, maybe not an elephant but it was a very large cat. A very large cat that he was sure had claws and teeth and devious intent towards him. But it appeared that Wan knew what was needed and it was clear that the two shared a lot of love between them. As long as he didn't try to interact with Mula he should make it out alive.
"Your stomach could never hurt too much for cake you big liar. I know better," Gareth said addressing Gracie. He was happy to hear her laugh, though. And he was happy to be with Wan. He was even happy to be win Mula. It was all so much better than being home, watching old home movies and hearing stories of his father. His mother meant well and only wanted to keep his memory alive, but sometimes it was like she forgot that Gareth still mourned, too.
"It's no problem. I just hope you like this one." Gareth did find it strange that Wan had never really experienced cake, but the world took all kinds. Maybe he didn't come from a line of cake eaters, stranger things have happened. "However be warned," he said, putting the cake on the table and slowly removing the box, "I will keep you supplied in cake and all kinds of goodies. If you ever need a quick lunch packed for a picnic, I'm your guy."
He sat back and waved at the cake, grinning. "What do you think?"
