"You've got the makings of a great captain," Brinley said and meant every word, "And we're Gryffindors. We know how to lead as much as we know how to follow someone." She reached out and touched Keara's hand, squeezing it gently and giving her a look of encouragement. She knew that Keara probably wasn't that worried, but Brinley did want to support her friend and to let her know that she had her back. They were not just gonna do well this year, they were going to take the whole damn cup.
Brinley frowned even more. "Do we need an intervention? We have to do something . . . " She wanted to. A fellow Gryffindor in trouble? There had to be something they could do to help. Even if it meant being sneaky about it.
"Yeah, maybe," she said to the suggestion of getting him fed, "What do we do? Leave him random food and hope he trusts it enough to eat it? Or . . . we could just invite him to join us for food?"
