"Sounds about the same as to what I ended up doing, only without the tactics part," Brin said and decided what she wanted from the menu for whenever the waitress would find her way over to them. She eased back in her seat and went on, "But my summer has been pretty uneventful. I mean, it's not like there's a lot to do in Idaho. Other than that, I just came here and have been hanging out with my sister. She took a few days off so we could do stuff since she works most of the time." Brinley had five siblings and even if there was a good age gap between her and the one closet to her in age, they shared a lot together.
Brinley's summer had been a lot of quidditch but also a lot of reading. She'd discovered the local library had a great collection of books and poetry, so she'd gone through a lot and found a few she hadn't gotten to read yet and weren't available online. She also started rereading some of her favorite authors as well. But Brinley, even with her closest friends, had yet to share this.
"The only interesting part was when my OWL marks got in. Having to explain to my dad how getting lame marks in divination wasn't necessarily a bad thing was a bit of a chore. It took some explaining from my mom too, but she actually believes in that stuff. I did end up grounded for a week because of them." Her nose wrinkled as she frowned and then rolled her eyes.
