Brinley wouldn't be surprised if their Muggle Studies professor wasn't around back in the day. Okay, maybe she would have because nobody lived that long. Even if their headmaster sometimes looked like he was going to turn into a big pile of dust at any moment. Regardless, the school could use a new Muggle studies teacher, because Brin was getting tired of having to research old information in order to pass tests.
"Well, I can be cool on my own, and chances are I'd just drag you down," Brin commented, "Besides, you're the transfiguration master. You'd leave me in the dust and could probably do plenty of dark wizard chasing on your own. You'd be like Mission: Impossible, only no need to rip a face off." She hoped Keara would get the reference, but if she didn't, well, part of Keara's education on Muggle culture: action movies.
She was very grateful that the NEWTs were still a year away and then she had to explain, "My dad doesn't know a bunch about the wizarding world except for what he's been able to learn over time. The tests are kinda the only way for him to see if we're actually doing well, because like, magic is kinda amazing to him. My mom uses spells to take care of chores and my dad is still amazed by them. It's adorable, but he wants to be dad and so he looks at the tests to let him be a part of that."
