"Heh, well, when you grow up around it, you get kinda used to not talking about it all the time," Brinley said, figuring that was likely what it would end up being. She grew up around muggles and magic, so she understood how to handle in both places. She sometimes worried about those that wanted to venture out into the muggle world without knowing what to do. Which brought on the teasing remark, "You should probably learn if you're going to be an auror. The best place to hide is among the muggles."
Brinley then listened as Kea shared her excitement for school as well. Kea mentioned before that her family was busy with work, but it was good to hear she'd bee keeping busy. And then Kea said something that reminded Brinley of why she was also excited to go back to school.
"Holy shit, I know, right?" Brinley said and then drank some of her milkshake before continuing, "God, I can't wait till we can start using magic outside of school. It feels like forever. I get why, you know, but man, sometimes I find myself wanting to use it. Especially when I see how freely my mom and other siblings use it. I was never really jealous of my siblings before. Sure, I wanted to be like them, but never really jealous."
