"Don't go putting words into my mouth, Sadie," Peter offered, though it was followed with an obvious smirk. Staring back at her as he took another bite of his sandwich, he then shook his head and held a finger up, "I'm not a rebel. I didn't say anything rebellious, or hint at anything rebellious. I'm just speaking, that is all."
A bite of his fry and then he watched her slide her hand up his arm, and then swallowed as he heard her whispering into his ear. He watched her, he raised a brow and nodded, "Right, well, if you do make sure you uh... call ahead. Also, uh, you're not 17 yet Sadie. So that defeats the purpose of walking you home."
Peter sighed and took another bite, wondering if he did have some interest in Sadie, which he did, he just wasn't going to necessarily admit it. Should he just bring it up to Bruce? Talk to him about it? They were friends, he'd listen, maybe even understand. Maybe, even, look at Peter as the nice guy potions expert who could do so much to help her out. The kind of guy you brought home to mom, or dad in this case. Hmm. No, that'd backfire in his face, he was certain of it.
