Their hands parting, Peter just furrowed his brows and nodded. She was really quite mature for how young she was. He also had to keep reminding himself she was only 16, not like 14 or something. She wasn't that much younger than him, only 5 years. No one would bat an eye at a 25 year old dating a 20 year old, or a 30 dating a 25. Hell, a 23 year old dating an 18 year old would likely seem fine. But a 21 with a 16? Why did it feel wrong?
It didn't, really, that was probably the worst part. What felt terrifying was the teacher/student taboo, and what was worse really was that he knew he should feel wrong about it, about thinking of her in anyway like that, and he didn't. Ugh, he hated his stupid mind and how it worked sometimes.
He took a bite of his sandwich and coughed a bit when she made her little innuendo. He choked half a second before laughing some and looking to her, "See, that? That wasn't down low Miss Banner. Not very wholesome of you." He offered with a quip.
