Having never really been a huge quidditch fan, Sadie had begged her father not to drag her to the game. It might have been a bad idea to not show up to any of the parties either, but she'd made sure to schedule work for that evening so that she had a valid excuse. Beside, so many of her co-workers were quidditch fans and she figured they'd much prefer to be at the game than working. That's what she'd thought, at least, up until the reports of the attack starting coming in faster than she could process.
Glad to know that her friends were mostly alright, she'd gone back to the office to make sure there were no pets coming in for attention after such an attack. Where there was chaos, there were trampled animals and pets. The vets were bringing in a few animals here there that they thought would be better treated at the office than on the field. Whether she was being paid overtime or not, Sadie wasn't going anywhere. Especially not when there were creatures and four-legged loved ones in need of healing attention.
Having had most of the afternoon and evening shift off on Sunday after working through the night Saturday into Sunday, she was back at work Monday morning. Now, at noon, Sadie was getting her first break and was allowed an hour for food. The cafe near the office wasn't usually overly busy and it was close enough to walk to. Just before heading inside, she noted a familiar face in the window and smiled to herself. She was glad to see him and in one piece. Walking inside, she went directly to his table and sat down across from him.
