Enjolras couldn't remember when his friendship with Grantaire had become so physical. Even as children they had been all over each other, wrestling and cuddling in turn. Their teachers had often tried to drag them apart, but E's parents had seen nothing wrong with the bonding time they spent together, content with their son's happiness. As they had passed the latter years of puberty, their closeness had come with more carnal consequences, but E was able to put those thoughts aside. With alcohol in his system and R sucking hard on the side of his neck, it was slightly more difficult to do so, but he still managed.
"Baguettes can improve anything," E insisted, moving back into English for no good reason. Outside the tent, the air seemed to suddenly go hot, or perhaps it was the alcohol. The question was answered when an ear splitting boom came from across the camping ground. Even in his intoxicated state, E's body shot up to sitting.
"What was that?" he slurred, awake but no less drunk.
