Bailey leaned into the hug. "She talks, but we're friends. I don't think she'd react too well if I tried to pull the parent role on her. I'd be siding with Dad against her." Inter-family politics were the worst. "She just never moved past the divorce at all." She was still angry about it. Bailey just hated being in the middle.
