Ben's eyes remained locked on Tracey when she looked towards him; the Dark Wizard offering only a shadow of a smile, with his brow raising and a shrug offered, "Did I stutter? I don't make ... friends easily, and Lia's never been the most talkative. You can bullshit your way out of most things, after all, I figure since you think he's so cute you can get close enough to learn about who his family is. It seems reasonable to think, as you're the only one here who knows who you're even talking about, that he's probably not that popular. Which means asking around about him will only lead to suspicion and very little real results. So direct contact might be necessary..."
Ben's smirk was an arrogant one, and he kept his brow turned up while watching her, leaning forward on his elbows before letting his head tilt to the side, "i mean, if you can manage not to scare him away or kill him long enough to figure out if he's worth killing, or dangerous to be killed. I wish you luck."
He likely did have a class with the kid in question, Lia potentially too, but Ben didn't make friends easily, he creeped too many people out, so he was best left away from the espionage part of anything, and leave that up to the more skilled.
