Part of Tracey couldn't believe she was having this conversation - her and Lia had always talked about it, but they'd never necessarily spoken seriously about it. She was fairly sure the only other person who resented her Father and Brother as much as Tracey did, well, it was Lia. Once Lia had seen what happened that day, found out why she'd come back to school so battered up, understood the sudden aversion to being anywhere near the lake, their friendship hadn't been the only thing that blossomed - but so did the other girl's understanding for her changed behaviour and attitudes. Lia understood her brash words, her reckless attitude more than anyone else. She was sure Lia probably wasn't surprised this had eventually come up, and not that Tracey was either, but there was just that little nagging part of her that couldn't stop repeating this is happening, its happening, its here in the back of her consciousness.
There wasn't a whole lot of emotion on Tracey's face. "I couldn't manage the whole family." She said, blunt but honest. "Not under the curse." She was a good witch, strong even, could become quite powerful - but she was still a student for a reason, trained but still fresh and raw in many ways. "Mother doesn't have a strong constitution, she'll be easy." She said, agreeing with Lia's statement without actually speaking it. "Macey off to our family, off to Salem. Savannah can..." She wet her lips as she spoke, "Ward off questions of abnormality." She knew it was necessary. Any thoughts or doubts aside, she knew it was. Her loyalty was to Lia and Lia's loyalty - even if it was truly to Laes, was irrevocably tied to her family's loyalty (appreciation of that notion irrelevant). She would just have to keep reminding herself that - and warding off thoughts of what exactly would become of her after she'd done the deed.
"Hard is going to be putting it lightly, Lia." She said, a tone of soft honesty in her voice. Tracey could see the whole lay out. She could imagine the way that she had to strap Lia down - probably best if propped on her side. She could imagine how to handle the needle. She could imagine how to get herself into a serene place mentally - that was probably the easiest, her fear of hurting one of the only people she actually gave a damn about could give her plenty of drive to be calm. She sighed heavily. "I'll speak with him. I have to admit, I know it'll be better with help. Better to keep it in the circle, too." She paused a moment, "I also know he'll understand, and he won't pry too much about why before agreeing." Tracey and Ben, while harbouring shared allegiance and something that could almost be considered a friendship - in a very... not friendly way. Didn't particularly get along, it wasn't hatred in their veins (they both had plenty, but that wasn't the way it was between them) for each other, it was the hatred in their veins that caused the constant clashing. It wasn't easy to have two such strong, deeply feeling personalities in the same room - similar goals or not - and not have there be a lot of fire hazards. She did, at many levels, trust Ben though - and she knew she could count on him to do right by Lia in this.
