Tracey nodded at Lia's suggestion, no question about it that was probably the best place for any continued conversation and she let her grip on the spoon go, not bothering to finish the drink as she got up. She pulled her purse from the chair she'd been in, slinging it back over her shoulder - her body reacting to the leather with a shiver. A little bit of muscle memory that she'd been stupid enough to not grab a coat. She was really going to have to invest in a purse that held more, this wasn't the first time she'd accidentally left a coat or something at her parent's in an effort to get out of the house much quicker than her mind had time to catch up to the idea with any sort of proper preparing.
She felt her heart rise in her chest as she walked after Lia, she knew the implications of what her thought meant. And there was that recurrent nagging little guilt that showed up every now and then. Part of her knew she shouldn't think such things. Part of her knew that it was just her emotions. Part of her knew that that sort of thought was the land of no return. But the other part of her? It didn't care. Unfortunately for Tracey, though fortunately perhaps for some others, one part of the lanky girl was much stronger than the other.
She grabbed the other girl's arm lightly when they got out into the street, a look of concern on her face as she spoke close to the other girls face - trying to avoid being overhead. "Lia, what?" She said, her worry for one of the only people she probably really cared about clear in her tone. "You?" She stuttered out. Part of her knew that, of course, it was reasonable - even logical. She was his closest blood relation besides their parents and that would likely be more successful, but that didn't mean she wasn't worried - especially if the other girl had been doing all of this on her own. It took her a moment to realize she wasn't cold and she let go of the other girl's arm, a soft sigh of relief escaping her lips (though the worry was still evident in her eyes), "Thanks for that, by the way. 23 more days." She trailed off.
