Tracey looked down at the last remaining sip of her drink, but didn't pick it up. A thought crossed through her mind that had crossed her mind a few times before but it had begun to take a different shape over the last week. Its funny how a major event like, lets say, replacements at the ministry due to what she can only imagine were unforeseen circumstances for those... being replaced... But that was the ebb and flow of the world, wasn't it? And every little creature had to play their part. Her eyes darted away from Lia, not to anywhere in particular but it was clear the other girl had stumbled upon something in her thoughts. I wonder... She trailed off to herself, They said they did it before.. I wonder why not this time..., she quickly pulled herself back.
She wet her lips before she looked at Ophelia, a rather serious expression on her face. "Not here." Was all she said, mimicking her friend's sentence structure - a rarity for the taller girl, who was usually the much more wordy one in this companionship. On average, Tracey probably spoke enough for the both of them, but not at the moment. She picked up the spoon and began fiddling with it again, splashing the tiny bit of liquid left in her mug around.
Tracey's tone stayed low, her volume to match as she tilted her head in curiosity. Her brain started ticking, there were always stupid rumours about exactly how the mischievous girl got such good grades, but despite her more manipulative and brash actions - she was far from an idiot. She pursed her lips, "That would make sense. Better on a live subject though." She said, trailing off in a matter-of-fact sort of way.
