Narissa and Violet- probably not too high
Narissa didn't care much about functions like this, if she were honest. Don't get her wrong, she loved being social, but being pureblood had never much mattered to her or her family. Yet, here she was. It was polite, as her father and mother both had status in the Wizarding world. She had to admit too that it was nice that the house was so big- she didn't have to risk encountering people she didn't get along with. Wallace, for one, as she would probably be there. Lily Snow- though that was because the older girl scared her a little. She doubted she was the only one that felt that way, but now was not the time to think on things like that. It was a holiday party. It was time for fun, not worry.
The fact that Violet had come with her made her happier than she expected. She found herself loving the girl more and more with each day that passed. With that thought in mind she had gotten Violet a gift to symbolize their connection. Technically she should have given it the day before, as she didn't celebrate Christmas quite the same as most of her friends, but being late wasn't a big deal. The box holding the gift was in the small purse she carried, though now was still not the time. They were exploring.
Narissa smiled over at her friend as they walked hand in hand. "How are you doing?" Because it was important to her that Violet was at least sort of having a good time.
