Caroline couldn't help but smile back at him. Oddly enough, she'd like that too. She was already thinking about him a lot more than she should. And she wouldn't admit it to him, but it had been for longer than him just showing up here. Maybe even before graduation. She wasn't ready to confess that, not yet. There was still a measure of guilt that she felt about it all. She shouldn't be having feelings for Klaus and for Tyler. That wasn't right. But Tyler hadn't been around in a long time. And Caroline wasn't completely sure that something hadn't been going on between him and Hayley.
She nodded. "I do still need a college education." And Klaus could teach her some of that. Definitely the history. He'd lived through all this before. She knew basically what had happened, having had history classes all through school but now she'd experience it in detail. "Aren't you worried, though? About stepping on a butterfly and altering the entire course of history." That was a popular theory about time travel, if it were possible. And now they knew that it was. Whoever was running this show clearly they weren't as concerned as they should have been. One wrong move and maybe the entire future would be different. That was a very scary thought.
She considered that for a moment, before offering another smile. She was in a unique position right now. Not many would get the opportunity to experience this. Caroline wasn't sure she wanted to experience the Great Depression, but some of the other things that came later would be fun. "Well I already know how I'll look in a poodle skirt." That was thanks to the decade dances. Funny, there hadn't been one on the 1930s yet. His smirk was infectious, and she didn't even mind the flirting right now. "I might just have to do that."
