He offered her a broad smile. "I'd like that." Without her friends around to caution her against him, Klaus liked his odds. Caroline would need him, undoubtedly. He would be of more help to her than anyone else in this place. No one had quite the same perspective he did on this day and age. That meant spending a great deal more time with him. Alone. Without Elena or Bonnie or Stefan or Damon to interfere. And most importantly, there was no Tyler around to keep her heart locked away. The odds were definitely in his favor and Klaus was determined to keep it that way.
"I can help you with more than just vampirism," he pointed out. "I told you before, there's a whole world out here," Klaus reminded Caroline. While at the time, he had meant places like Rome and Tokyo, the Andes and the Arctic. But this was a unique opportunity for Caroline; this was a brand new world for her right here within America. "There's nearly a century between right now and where you were. There is so much you can experience, right now. Big band. Moving pictures. Swing music. Hitler has risen to power and World War II is on the horizon," Klaus explained. He loved the way the world worked, the way music, art, and war broke over it like waves.
Caroline now had the opportunity to see life how Klaus did. She knew what was coming and now she could see how it grew and shaped and twisted into that. He had the luxury of living through it in real time, without knowing what was coming, but for now, it was a unique perspective the blonde vampire was being given. "You have your own personal guide to the 1930s." Klaus flashed her another smirk, brow arching suggestively, "Feel free to use me at your leisure."
