"We could talk about something else," he agreed, "but is there anything as important as sustenance? You'll start to desiccate the longer you go without food. And as beautiful as you are, it's not a good look on anyone." Klaus made the statement lightly but he was telling the truth. She couldn't just avoid the situation because she found it uncomfortable. He wasn't one to let her overlook it either, not only because he saw nothing wrong with eating people, but also for the simple fact he didn't want to have to watch Caroline weaken and decay.
"These are the days when America wasn't too fond of alcohol, I'm afraid, love." Klaus reminded her apologetically. "Moonshine, while it would be effective, is not the.. smoothest." Klaus could just imagine her under the influence of homemade liquor. It would undoubtedly be stronger than anything she had experienced before. He clasped his hands behind his back, "I can help you," he offered. Whether it was hunting animals or people, Klaus knew more about it than anyone else here, he was certain. He knew she would probably assume he meant the 'worst' option, but he didn't care. The fact of the matter was that she simply would need to eat. And depending on when she last ate at home... it would need to be sooner rather than later .
