Klaus hadn't been bothered in the slightest over the fact he would have to feed the old fashion way. He had been keeping himself alive and well that way for the better part of a thousand years. Human life meant little to nothing as far as he was concerned and if he had to feel on the living in order to get by, that was perfectly alright with him. However, he knew Caroline was far from the sort of person to take something like that so lightly. She had been trained in the art of vampirism by a reformed Stefan Salvatore after all. As good as his intentions may have been, Stefan did not prepare Caroline for life as a vampire without modern luxuries.
"What options are those?" he asked, tilting his head to the side a fraction. "Have you ever had to really use the... alternative solutions?" Klaus doubted Caroline had really ever had to feed from living people, not beyond her initial turning experience. That put her in a precarious position if she wanted to avoid being overcome by the blood lust that was so prevalent in vampires. "There's no Stefan to help you muscle through the tough parts."
