He was probably, maybe, not a hallucination. She still couldn't be sure, especially where magic was involved. And then there had been that whole Silas thing from back home. That didn't help to inspire confidence in trusting something like this. But, they'd brought her here. They easily could have brought Klaus too. He seemed like Klaus. And he was surprised to see her, she could tell. A hallucination would probably be more nonchalant about the whole thing. So Klaus was here, that was something. He was the first familiar face that she'd seen since she'd gotten here. Caroline was grateful for that much. It was better than being along here, that was for damn sure. Would she have rather seen Elena or Bonnie? Probably, but she'd take what she could get.
She didn't make a move to step back or leave as he moved closer to her. She was definitely happy to see him. She didn't imagine he could be too happy about this, given his plans for New Orleans but she knew he'd adapt better than most people would. Hell, he'd lived through all of this once already. This was probably pretty old hat for Klaus. "No, I'm fine." He should have been more concerned with her hurting someone. She easily could have. She'd been angry enough to do so, but she hadn't. She'd refrained from hurting anyone here so far. And she knew she'd made the right choice but so much was unknown to her about all of this. She wondered if he had any theories.
If Klaus was here, at least that was one person she knew. And that helped. Anything that helped right now, Caroline viewed as being a good thing. She didn't always have the best thoughts about him, but she was very happy to have him here now. She laughed a bit at his words. "Thanks, the dress is a little big and uncomfortable...but it's not horrible." She wondered what he was doing here. Everyone had been assigned a job, she knew that. She'd heard people chattering about theirs as she'd walked around. She had even accepted her own job, for now, after initially rebelling. "So what fun position have you been given?" She asked him, looking around a bit to see if anyone was watching them. She didn't know how the people in charge would view people talking that actually knew one another. They might think they were plotting or something. Clearly Caroline had seen one too many movies.
