Logan offered her a wry smile at her wink. "Not that I remember," he replied. "Might've been after my time. Or a different universe thing." It still felt weird to talk about different universes like they existed. But given the diversity here, and what he'd overheard in the course of his prowling, it was starting to sound like a perfectly valid explanation for at least some of what was going on here. This didn't seem to be his reality, and he had overheard a little brunette talking about magic in a context that made it sound real. If let himself think too much about it, it started to feel like a mindfuck, so he didn't think on it any more than he could handle.
"Not that I remember," he repeated, though he grinned slightly since the repetition had been deliberate. While he knew his was missing most of his past, he didn't think it was likely a trip seventy years back in time was among those missing memories.
Logan exhaled softly. "Might turn out to be preferable, depending on what goes on here," he pointed out gently. So far it seemed all right, straight forward (as straight forward as something like this could be), but for all they knew, everyone was still playing the 'best behavior' card until they unleashed their true intents. Or maybe he was getting crotchety and paranoid. "You find out an answer to the why part, I bet you'll get a gold star," he replied. But he would be interested to hear if a real answer to that ever cropped up.
